Piet Grobler was born in South Africa. He studied graphic design and journalism and worked as a graphic designer and editor in the field of advertising and publications. Now a well-established artist, he has won many national and international prizes. These include a silver medal at the Noma Concours in 1997, the Octogone de Chine in 1999 and the Primo Alpi Apuane in 2000 as well as the Tiene Holloway Medal in 1997. Piet Grobler is Course Leader for illustration at the University of Worcester.
